Before having the subject Media and Information Literacy (MIL), what I have in mind is that media is all about the internet and spreading information from different websites. Also, it is a source of entertainment to most of the people because most of them have and uses their social media accounts to get updated in what’s happening to the World. Now that we have the subject MIL, I realized that media is not just about the internet and that there are 3 forms of media, which are the Print Media, the Broadcast Media and the New Media and each kind of media have different uses.

There are also a lot of different functions of media, and for me the most relevant is that the media acts as a channel of information and knowledge through which citizens communicate with each other and make informed decisions. Because I use media to share my knowledge through communicating online.

Media and Information Literacy is considered useful today, because most of the people appreciates the 3 forms of media (the print media, broadcasting media and the new media) because it provides the people with easy access for the latest and updated information that can satisfy their needs.

Zeia was born in Baguio City on August 8, 2002. They transferred to Cainta when she was in 4th grade. Now, she is a Senior High School student of Faith Christian School taking up the strand ABM. She is a part of the Student Council of Senior High School for she is serving her fellow students and also the school to make it better. She is also a member of FCS TV where she is one of the scriptwriters in the pre-production.

Her purpose is to explore new things, learn and study well in school for preparation in the near future. Also, to be God’s instrument to other people, most specially to those who doesn’t know Him yet. Lastly, to share and give happiness to other people.

10 years from now, she will graduate in University of Santo Tomas taking up Business Administration major in Accounting and she will also pass the board exam and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She will work in a corporate world and at the same time, she will half time do her parents business. Her parents are both into business industry and somehow she is also interested in it. In her childhood days she is already exposed by her parents to the business industry because in her early age her parents are already business man and women.

One of her inspiration to keep on going is her life verse from Jeremiah 31:17 it says that “Don’t lose hope. I, the Lord, have spoken.” It was a cramming day for her when she first saw that verse, and from that moment she learned to always put her trust on God because God will never leave her. When you feel like giving up always remember why you started and keep in mind that giving up isn’t a solution because it is better to fight your battles than to regret for giving up without even trying. Another thing that kept her motivated is her friends.

She is just so blessed to have them and lately she realized that it’s not about the matter of time or how long they know each other but it is about how true they are to each other. She appreciates them a lot for always making her happy when days went bad.
