This film was created to spread awareness or more like a wake-up call for the citizens. People may be already blinded by power and money.
ACT I
Senator Herrero (his dad) wants Jake to stop writing articles and blogposts because it is against his father’s political position. Jake mostly write articles that contradicts his father’s plans and one of his purpose is to ruin the image of his father. His father kept telling him to stop but he didn’t instead he stood on his feet and ended everything with his dad which means that his dad lose the chance and from that Senator Herrero let Enchong to look after or more like track Jake. Jake saw Enchong in Baguio City and knew that his father send Enchong to Baguio to track the moves of Jake.
ACT II
Jake thought that everything was fine until he was contacted by a police and told him about the murder of Grace. They found out that Grace is the student of Mandy and with that Mandy became hysterical. They went to see the body and the police assumed that Grace was gang raped before she was murdered. Mandy was so mad and she was forcing Jake to write it about his blog right away without even knowing the real story.
ACT III
Jake investigated about the murder of Grace which leads to his father because he is the mastermind of the crime scene. Grace was just accidentally involved and was killed because of Resti, for he is the main target of Jacobo. Roxie killed Jonie. Jacobo was heart attacked and killed. Roxie was ambushed right before the election. Mandy was married to another man. That was how the story of Jake ended.
SHOTS TECHNIQUES
below are some of the different shots & angles that they used in the film;
Cut In
This shot was focused on the hands because it emphasizes the typing of keyboard.
Extreme Wide Shot
This shot is wide and there are a lot to be seen in one frame. It shows the houses/places that surrounds the church since the voice over is about light or darkness.

This shot is from the head to chest where it emphasizes himself because he is talking to someone and so that the focus of the viewers will be on the one who is talking.

LIGHTING TECHNIQUE
Key Light
The light focuses on the subject which is the hands and keyboard.
Key Light
This lighting is from the main light which creates the shadow and some dark side from his face.
Back Light, Key Light & Fill Light
This shot used the 3 major lightings because everything is balanced. The back light if natural and the key light is on his left while the fill light is on his right.
REFLECTION
The film is telling the audience/viewers to stand for what is right even though you will put someone you know in risk. Media has a huge influence to the people since it is a wide network and whatever you put there it should only consist of what is real and true. Don’t be one of the fake news spreaders. In politics, it is truly hard to spread news against it because it’s like you’re suiciding since it is a huge risk to do that because they will probably/definitely attack you for telling something that is against them. The higher people really values their name especially their dignity. What we can only do is to vote wisely. In the first place, it is our fault that they are the ones who control the people because we, the citizens, vote for them.
“Don’t say anything online that you wouldn’t want plastered on a billboard with your face on it.”
-Erin Bury
Social Media has a huge scope. And since it has a huge scope it also has a huge effect, can either be positive or negative, to people. What we tackled in the podcast is that the Social Media has its own threats, risks, misuse & abuse.
SOCIAL MEDIA MISUSE
Just like what is it stated on the quote above, we should be careful on the things that we are saying because sometimes it leads to misinterpretation to some people then there goes the judging of other people. In Social Media misuse it’s like having the memes as an example because some people kept on doing memes in a wrong timing & place. We should always consider the feelings of others and we should know our limit because it might hurt their feelings.
SOCIAL MEDIA ABUSE
Abuse is a big word. So does the social media. With that, I just realized that abuse is the partner of social media. Since there are already a lot of abuses happen online. One of them are the influencers. Since they already have a lot of followers & viewers, they have this impact to people which made them submissive. When they share their views/insights to a certain issue online, people tend to believe them and still support them. And with that, they are abusing their power on social media to control the netizens. Other people use blackmailing strategy.
SOCIAL MEDIA RISK
Having a Social Media is already a big responsibility because your task is to be aware of what content should you post/share online. One of the risks that you need to consider is being bashed. It is quite normal, since you cannot please everyone. There will always be some people who won’t support you and instead they will hate you. But don’t get carried away with it. Be you and just do what you want to do in your social media as long as you are not doing bad and illegal things and most specially don’t step on other people.
SOCIAL MEDIA THREAT
This comes with all the issues online. The best and worst example will be the cyberbullying. It is considered a threat since it came from a fake account that is used to attack a person.

“People use technology only to mean digital technology. Technology is actually everything we make.” — Margaret Atwood
Digital Technology are the apps, the websites or social medias and everything that is connected to technology. It actually made our life easier today. It keeps almost everything to be accessible to us and easy to use. Also, we don’t need to put extra effort in it because it is already modernized. And our technology has a lot of improvements and it is still improving.
Just like in the app that I chose, it is basically a messaging app where it is made to send messages quicker than what they had before like the mailing strategy. Messaging or sending information is one of the main use of technology because it made our message go through a channel and go directly and quickly to our receiver.
Digital Technology mostly consists of informations which educates at an early age and let us hear about the world. Because of technology it is easy to know news about different countries and also about our planet and all. Through technology they got to study our planet and not just the planet but the universe. Though those are still some theories but I believe that they have their reasons why they let that theory blew up.
Technology really has a huge effect on us, because it made everything easy to get but at some point I can also see some negative effects of it, like everyone is at their gadgets almost everyday at every hour and that is not a nice practice for a healthy lifestyle. Another thing is that, even the small kids and the babies are already exposed to it and they grew up with it and that isn’t just a nice practice because their routine everyday will just go around their gadgets.
Technology is the new addiction of the people nowadays because almost everyone has their own gadget and uses it everyday. Some people can’t live without it, I know that it kinda sounds OA but it is true. They love their gadgets and technology so much that they forgot to appreciate their surroundings. And the effect of it to some of the people aren’t nice. You should know how to limit yourself to those and balance living your life without too much gadgets and use of technology.

Information can be a path to Development, Prosperity, Freedom and Social inclusion.
DEVELOPMENT
Accepting and applying the informations for an improvement leads to development. Development is not easy to build because it takes time and a lot of hardwork and also you can achieve this with the help of others.
PROSPERITY
Information gives us more ideas and concepts and that drives us to success. It helps us to improve things and that information serves as our guide to prosperity. Prosperity is not just about the money but it is also about the learnings that you’ve got. Being an Information Literate is also prosperity because you are well taught of.
FREEDOM
Just like in the media, information is a way for our freedom. We are all free to tell whatever we want to and to spread any information that’s why there are a lot of fake news/fake informations because they are abusing the freedom that we have
SOCIAL INCLUSION
Information also serves as a guide for improvement to the society which is social inclusion. Through the informations that is being spread out it also builds a relationship with people where they keep their communication with each other to keep themselves updated with what’s going on around them.
Information can also be affected by some factors such as Laws, Business/Economic Factors, Society and Culture.
LAW
The information is affected by law if the person who is giving an information doesn’t know his/her limitations and kept on spreading informations that aren’t true then that person might be put to jail.
BUSINESS/ECONOMIC FACTORS
One example of information being affected by business/economic factors is through advertising. In advertising, it provides a lot of information about your product and/or services and with that your brand will be known. But you should also be careful with those informations that you will let out because one wrong move and the people will use it against you.
SOCIETY & CULTURE
Through information we will understand that in a society there are different cultures and with that we will learn to respect and appreciate each and everyone’s differences.
The Six Vital Concepts of Information Literacy application to the following scenarios.
by Pineda, Lopez, David, Salam, Acebuche & Dimaano
This is our video about our chosen historical event and how media contributed to democracy. We chose Jose Rizal since we studied about his novel Noli Me Tangere when we were in 9th grade and also the El Filibusterismo, last year. Eversince, media is the most powerful source of information that’s why it is easy to spread it out.
Our country, the Philippines, is one of the democratic country in the world. I am thankful that democracy is the system of government of the Philippines. With that, we are all free to speak up for our rights. Media is important because it is the bridge between the citizens and the government. It serves as a bridge for it connects the citizens to the government, also media makes it easier for the government to hear the people out and viser versa.
Libel laws and censorship is considered as threat to us because it contradicts with our freedom of speech and expression since they control all the information. We can’t express ourselves anymore because of those laws and our country being a democratic country will be useless since they are like low key taking our right to speak.
Media is a powerful tool where people share information with. In media there are also things that we need to consider in order to be presentable and fit to media. There are a lot of cases where media became the battlegrounds between two sides, and with that they gain the people’s attention both in the positive and negative way. Each information that the media got from us might always have a negative effect to the viewers, since it is in the nature of us, people, that whenever we see something new we focus and look for their mistakes and not with the right things that they’ve done. And with that, we should be careful with media and try to control yourself mostly your emotions because media is indeed a battleground for some people. Self-control is a must.
MilkQQ is a Milktea Shop that also have a milktea in a bottle which is more convenient to people who loves to drink miktea. They also have different flavors of milktea that is bottled and it has a reasonable price too.
There are different Media Codes and in this blog I will explain it to you by describing it using our commercial as an example. First is the Symbolic Codes, these are the gestures, facial expressions and the body contact of the actors and it can also be the place where it took place. You can see the actors smiles that it shows satisfaction to what they are drinking and also that they are enjoying it with their friends and specially in the SM Hypermarket Cainta because it has a nice and peaceful ambiance.
The Technical Codes. These are the behind the scenes, the filming, then the editing. In this one, I am the one in our group who recorded them and edited our video. In recording, I used my phone which is iPhone 6s and I used VN as my video editing software. About my camera angle, I used a lot. First which is in our intro I used the low-angle shot where the camera is on the floor to shot the rolling wheels. I also use the eye level shot in most of the videos. Lastly, the high angle shot that I used in the cheers part of the video. I also did montage in most of the videos to show the milktea products, the MilkQQ place and other shots.
The Written Codes. These can be the subtitles, the spoken language or dialogues of the actors. In our video, they only use this 2 times. First is when Acebuche told his friends that the milktea tastes good and in their ending when they all said “MilkQQ”. By the end of our video, you can see their picture together with the hashtags for the milktea.
The Audio Codes. These pertains to the music. In our video, I used an alive music which serves as the background music for our video. Music is important for the video to become attractive & alive.
The SHS Summit Camp 2019 entitled “CRUX” was held in Jabez Campsite in Dasmarinas, Cavite last November 20 to November 22, 2019.
This is my third time to attend the camp of Faith Christian School, and this year’s camp is far different from the ones we had last 2 years ago which is the Battlegrounds. During our 3-day camp in Jabez, I met a lot of different people from our cabin and groupmates. And I also get to know them more during our small group and break out sessions.
I was so happy when I first heard that all of the cabin have aircon. And I became happier when they announced the room assignments and I am assigned to the room with my friends. I actually shouted out of joy when they announced my name together with my friends. But the most memorable experience that I encountered there was the Crux Night. It was really a new program for all of us. Actually it is the biggest surprise that I experienced in our camp because I also had the chance to be one of the performers in Spoken Poetry that night. It was a chill night, like we we’re just singing old songs and some hugot songs, but it is not just about singing the songs because it also have a meaning pertaining to God. And for me, the highlight of that night is when they light the bonfire and we started to sing the “Fire Burns”. It was our last night that night and it is the most memorable night that i had in all the camps that I’ve been to.
During the 3-day camp, I learned to surrender everything to God. Just like the activity that we had on out first night there, to write it down on a piece of paper and as I wrote it there it felt like a thorn was removed from my heart and it’s like I surrendered every problem that I have, to God. It felt lighter and amazing that in that simple activity it really is effective mostly when you did it with your heart. I will continue to surrender everything to God and this time I will trust His timing and everything. Just like what He said on the Bible to trust in God’s perfect time.
My life verse is from Jeremiah 31:17 it says there that “So don’t lose hope. I, the Lord, have spoken.”. I am one of those people who suffers from anxiety and sometimes I don’t keep my life verse in my heart that’s why my anxiety always attacks me. And that is also one of the things that i’ve realized during the camp, to always trust in God and to ask for help when you feel like giving up. The past few months I easily tend to give up easily on such things, and from now on through this verse I will be able to hold on a little more and to face my battles with this verse in my heart.
